Janice Miyagi
Executive
Janice is a designer, maker, and forever tinkerer. She is an architectural designer at People Design Co-op where they support affordable housing providers in the creation of beautiful, durable, comfortable, and most importantly, healthy housing. As a designer, Janice is dedicated to the creation of spaces that tell the stories of those who inhabit them.
Janice joined the TSA as a volunteer with the Pride Initiatives in 2020 and became a member of the TSA’s Executive in 2025. She has significantly contributed to the TSA’s research on Queer Spaces and enjoys getting the opportunity to connect with all the beautiful queer folks at the Pride Street Fair each year.
I volunteer with the TSA because I strongly believe that there should be a greater connection between the profession and the public. As practitioners, we must connect deeply with those who we design for so that we can advocate for all, especially those in marginalized communities.
